When I do readings for clients, I rarely follow the traditional Human Design top-down path —> Starting with type, authority, defined centres, sun/earth personality gates.
Rather, I take more of an intuitive path and often diving first deep into body of the chart.
Of course by the end, my investigative nature (Line 1) will have illuminated the chart in its entirety to get the full picture… but the journey of discovery and pathway to get to that full picture for me is in itself significant. And thus I don’t take the formulaic linear approach.
It should be mentioned that the work I do has been for years focused around Identity Psychology and the discovery of the person within to shape into the core offer and business they love. And readings have often been in the context of deepening things that we have discovered through one of my key tools – the 1 page vision, and the pulling of the inner truth that my clients already felt.
On who they are, what are their true gifts, their purpose, and the path that they are meant for to walk.
The mind-blowing nature of Human Design, sometimes of which I do readings a couple of years after they first began that discovery, is always shocking in the accuracy.
And deepening on the inner knowing and clarity they have already gained through the 1 Page Vision.
I love doing Human Design as a step 2, because given the nature of surrender associated – the mind can play the skeptic on what’s true vs. planted.
Human Design I see as a playground of discovery. Each gate, each channel, each number, each placement, each variable, each element, is a portal to start exploring a piece of your subconscious, intuitively.
In fact, spiritual tools have long been explored within fields of psychology as tools that help to tap into and explore the subconscious-
Carl Jung for example held the ancient Chinese divination text, the I Ching (Book of Changes), which is foundational to Human Design – and in particular the 64 gates, as a valuable instrument for delving into the unconscious mind. Jung’s engagement with the I Ching significantly influenced his concepts of synchronicity and self exploration.
So how do you actually approach the intuitive approach to reading your Human Design?
Here are the basics steps that I follow:
1) Presence & Connect – first taking the time to the be still, and reconnect energetically to both myself (crucial for being able to feel into energy), and the intention of the chart I am reading. I am feeling into the love I feel for that person and what we will discover.
2) Intuitive predictions – I first write down broad strokes, what comes out in that moment of presence and connection. What I feel may be true. Before doing any input of data to pull the real chart. This is a moment for me to again, connect deeply into my intuition which will be crucial for the reading.
3) First Impressions – I notice where my eye is drawn to, what jumps out at me (and this is not always the top down linear approach which is traditional in HD readings), and I write those down.
4) I then work my way through intuitively through the entire chart, what I see, and illuminating areas that I then dig further into to understand.
5) Lastly, I do have a standard reading outline, which I more use at the end to “check” and ensure any last pieces of insight are distilled.
As mentioned in my blog post from yesterday, my personal journey began with the discovery that I was a 5/1, and was my initial trigger for the deep rabbit hole deep dive and journey into Human Design.
We all have a different trigger.
For one client, it was the discovery of his Sacral authority – of which finally helped him to quieten his busy busy mind which was constantly overthinking what he was doing and the multiple voices pulling within.
He has an enormous drive for energy and ACTION – with his Sacral, Root, and Will centre (the centre of willpower, self worth, material resource, commitment and being driven to complete goals) – but as a Sacral Generator would mean he could quickly burn out – and he experienced this multiple times, when the energy spent was not aligned towards directions that lit him up.
Even though he had the power to push through and force
For another client, it was the discovery that she was a Splenic Manifestor with Inner Vision sense – and realising that she was simply not built to follow others’ process (which she initially held a lot of self-judgement about) but to follow and trust her own flow and instantaneous ‘knowing’ that comes through her Splenic authority.
For her, I shared – coaches and guides will not be there to give you a process to follow, but will be more anchors to check in.
I wonder what was yours? Your moment of… ‘Ah that makes so much sense…’.
17 May will be my very first True Self workshop taking place in London from 1-5pm.
It is already by now almost fully booked, but with 1 spot left.
Should this be something that calls towards you, reach out to me at authenticawakenings.now@gmail.com and I can send you the details.
I am a 5/1 Sacral Manifesting Generator. This blog and the articles contained within represent my true experience with Human Design (and work I do with clients), as well as other Identity Psychology toolsets used within my work.
In the meantime, if you would like to start your own journey – I invite you to book a private 20 minute discovery session with me.
